4 'Summer Lightening' (Ralph McTell)

Yes, the "Streets Of London Man", and the ubiquity of that song has probably unfairly damaged his reputation. This is a gem, as sensitive and considerate in its outlook as Costello's song (above) is self-obsessed. A husband apologises for a moment of unthinking anger: "not a storm at all, it's only summer lightning". By the standards of any era or genre, the tune is glorious.
